We had a great week in Brecon. We hope to load photos soon.

We have been very busy this summer with extra help.

Sorry we haven’t been posting updates.

New furniture looks nice, thanks to donors!

The stair and study have been transformed this year.

We managed to cover much of the unfinished areas with decorations, and the snow helped disguise the building site outside.

We had to dig my car out this morning in anticipation of some unusual traffic.

Unfortunately it was so cold this morning that I had to climb in through the boot to get the car going.

It was also a bit of an ice rink before the salt was used.

We did get a bit of a thaw yesterday – this only meant that most of the snow on the roof slipped off into a huge pile in front of the front door. Yes – more digging but a good job we were out at the time.

Still very cold but pretty here.

The roof demonstrates how good the insulation is because we are warm inside.

David hasn’t seen all of this yet. May not approve of the curtains when he gets home but it makes it feel warmer in the stair.

I have been able to update because he is on his way back from a dinner in London, (sounded very tipsey), so I hope I can get to fetch him in these conditions because he probably needs looking after.

We have both failed to get to work this morning but may try later if the roads open!
